Volvo’s XC90 replacement is coming in the form of the EX90, an all-electric SUV with a stunning design.
Propelled by a dual motor, all-wheel-drive system, and a 111kWh battery, the new EX90 will provide a 300 mile range. It can quickly charge too, getting from 10 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. Output is rated at 510 horsepower and 671 lb-ft of torque in its Performance trim, propelling the vehicle from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds.
Volvo collaborated with NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Luminar, to bring a range of advanced systems to the EX90. There’s a standard LIDAR system that can detect pedestrians over 800 feet away and level 3 autonomous driving capability. An interior radar system can detect dogs and children, preventing them from being left inside on hot days.
The Volvo EX90 will arrive in the US in early 2024. Customers will be able to start configuring their EX90 online soon.
