High-speed internet at home is increasingly the norm. So, the real concern that many people have is less and less about speed, and increasingly about coverage. That’s because having a Wi-Fi router in one room usually means weak coverage in another room.
Well, TP-Link has introduced a solution that should solve Wi-Fi coverage issues. Their new Deco M5 Whole-Home Wi-Fi System is comprised of three mesh routers. When strategically placed in different locations throughout your home, Deco M5 can deliver seamless wireless coverage.
Built with Adaptive Routing Technology, TP-Link says devices will connect with the fastest speeds possible because the mesh network will search for the shortest and fastest route available. These units support 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi with maximum data speeds of 867Mbps on the 5GHz band.
Competing with the likes of Google Home, Netgear Orbi, and Linksys Velop, TP-Link’s mesh networking solution also bundles the company’s HomeCare, helping to protect your network against malware and hackers.
The router will sell in a three-pack for $299, which should cover between 2,400 and 4,500 square feet. Individual units — ideal for small homes and apartments — will also be available for $129.
