Baselworld always brings exciting new additions from the best Swiss watchmakers. Tissot was among them, introducing one particularly intriguing timepiece that combines vintage style with automatic movement.
Tissot’s new Antimagnetique Heritage 2018 is a hand-wound piece based on the antimagnetic watches that Tissot produced in the 1930s and ’40s.
The contemporary rendition of this line features a large, 42-mm polished steel case with sharp, faceted lugs, and a slim signed crown. Its domed, silvery dial is outlined by a thin bezel that lends a wider appearance. Large printed Arabic numerals are used for the hour markers, which are complemented by a prominent vintage-style Tissot logo.
The Antimagnetique Heritage is powered by the ETA 6498-1, a manually-wound movement with a 46-hour power reserve. It’ll arrive later this year for $995.
