The first week of May always gives Star Wars fans a reason to celebrate. Alaska Airlines got in on the May 4th festivities too by unveiling a new plane that will celebrate Star Wars for years to come.
The airline has just unveiled it’s new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Airplane, a Star Wars-themed Boeing 737-890 that will be making regular flights as part of its fleet. The plane forgoes the airline’s usual color scheme for black paint and illustrations of the Millennium Falcon, a TIE fighter, and porgs. It also features badging showing that it’s also serving as the official “Star Wars transport to the Disneyland Resort.”
Alaska Airlines confirmed the special edition plane will fly with them for at least eight years. If you’re hoping catch a ride, you can check the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Airplane’s flight schedule–tail number N538AS–on the Alaska Airlines website.
