Ring is broadening it’s reach beyond doorbells and cameras around the home.
The new Ring Car Cam extends Ring’s security expertise to their users’ cars. It features dual-facing HD cameras, with one wide-angle night vision camera facing the road, and one aimed back into the cabin for mobile security.
While connected to home Wi-Fi it can provide motion alerts and other real-time notifications. For $6 a month, Ring Protect Go adds LTE access for on-the-go protection. The Ring Car Cam also includes a privacy cover to ease concerns of your passengers. It plugs into the OBD-II port that’s located on the left side of the steering wheel, so it won’t take up power/USB ports for power.
The Ring Car Cam is available to pre-order now for $199.99, but will increase in price to $249.99 after January 31.
