Richard Neutra is credited with designing some of the most iconic homes in Southern California. One such home in South Pasadena is a design that was commissioned by Arts & Architecture magazine in the 1960s. The home’s current owners have dutifully restored it to embody Neutra’s original vision to include redwood tongue-and-groove ceilings, terrazzo terraces, and expansive glass doors that connect the interior spaces to the outdoors. Nevertheless, modern conveniences have been added while keeping the integrity of the mid-century modern style. The main structure is a three-bedroom home, but there’s also a detached guest house with two additional bedrooms. The home is currently on sale for $5.9 million.
