The Porsche Macan T is a new model that fits between the base model and Macan S. The “T” badge has been seen on models like Porsche’s 718 and 911, but it is a welcomed new addition to the Macan and balances value with performance.
Powering the Macan T is a 2.9L four-cylinder turbo that produces 261 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. That’s managed by a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which sends power to an all-wheel drive system that’s been tuned to send more power to the rear axle. The Macan T can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 5.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 144 mph.
Other performance enhancements in the Macan T include a Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system as standard equipment. This system can also be equipped with an optional adaptive air suspension, which includes model-specific anti-roll bars to keep the vehicle stable in corners. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus is available to enhance the Macan T’s agility even further.
There are a few exclusive exterior details on the Macan T, including Agate Grey Metallic accents on the front trim, exterior mirrors, side blades, roof spoiler, and rear logos. There’s also a high gloss black finish that’s been applied to the sport tailpipes and side window surrounds. Additional details include 20″ Macan S design wheels in a dark titanium finish, Sport-Tex Stripe pattern seats with six-way adjustability and heating standard, a heated GT sport steering wheel, and a Sport Chrono stopwatch.
What once was reserved for sports car models now delivers a welcomed addition to the Macan lineup, and it’s available in the coming weeks.
