Porsche has just announced two range-topping versions of its beloved mid-engine sports car range, complete with two key enhancements.
The 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 will both receive a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter engine. The six-cylinder engine is said to be similar to the 414-horsepower unit found in the 718 Spyder and Cayman GT4.
Exclusively available with a six-speed manual gearbox and a standard Sport Exhaust System, these two-seaters will product 394 hp and 309 lb-ft of torque along with a 0-60 mph time of just 4.3 seconds (although Porsche is notoriously conservative with these numbers).
Other notable features on these models include Porsche’s Active Suspension Management with a 20mm lower ride height, torque vectoring with a mechanical limited slip differential, and a standard Sport Chrono package.
Find both models in the U.S. this summer. Pricing will be announced closer to launch.
