Nissan is expanding its GT-R lineup with the new Track Edition. This variant features all the high-performance bits from the Nismo version, but with the ‘base’ Premium version’s 565-horsepower V6 engine.
The supercar boasts a Nismo-tuned chassis, Nismo front fenders, 20-inch Nismo aluminum-alloy wheels, Recaro seats, and a carbon-fiber spoiler. Even the body has been made more rigid with the use of adhesive bonding. Tipping the scales at 3,915 pounds, the GT-R is just four pounds heavier than the Nismo and 18 pounds lighter than the base GT-R.
Other mechanical bits onboard include a six-speed dual clutch paddle-shift transmission and Nissan’s ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system.
The all-new Nissan GT-R Track Edition will be available late this summer for $129,585. However, don’t expect to see these models in showrooms. The track edition will be available by special order only.
