Get ready to go racing. Mercedes-AMG has unveiled its most powerful customer car yet.
The new GT2 race car features a 707-horsepower 4-liter twin-turbo V8 mated a sequential six-speed gearbox with custom gear ratios. The gearbox itself is mounted over the rear wheel to optimize weight distribution.
Other go-fast features include a central wheel mount system, a fully programmable dashboard system, and a multi-function steering wheel developed in collaboration with Cube Controls, and an aero package that can be tailored to needs to specific tracks. Plus, the car comes with a suite of safety equipment developed to FIA standards.
The Mercdes-AMG GT2 will be available for purchase in 2023, so aspiring privateer racing drivers still have time to put their team together.
