Named for the Seattle neighborhood where it’s situated, the Magnolia House was borne from a desire to bridge modern design with traditional elements. The exterior of the home is clean, simple, even stark, with gray straight lines reinforcing it’s modern looks.
Large windows help to bathe the interior in natural light. Inside, use of marble and hardwood bring in a warmer feel and more classic look. Furniture was carefully selected to harmonize with the two styles.
Designed by Rerucha Studio, the home was intended to fit the owners’ lifestyle. Since yoga was important to the couple who live there, a yoga studio was added to the top of the home, complete with skylights and a a private rooftop deck. The space provides good views, tranquillity, and a connection to nature that the owners’ craved.
