Lotus is best known for making lightweight sports cars — remember the Esprit in such classics as Pretty Woman?
But now the company’s focusing its unique expertise on the SUV segment with the all-new, all-electric, Eletre.
Powered by a massive 112kWh battery pack and featuring twin motors with a potent 905 horsepower in its top-spec ‘R’ trim, the Eletre promises to be a formable electrified supercar (or vehicle).
Lotus says the Eletre can achieve a 0-60 mph time of just 2.9 seconds, which would make it one the fastest electric SUVs you could buy. Other features include an active air suspension, torque vectoring, LED headlights, and 22-inch wheels. There’s even a Track Mode that lowers its ride height to match its impressive performance capabilities.
Prices start at $84,500 for the base model while the R brings the price to well above $100,000.
