Livewire, the electric motorcycle division of Harley-Davidson, has unveiled its first electric street tracker, the S2 Del Mar. The S2 Del Mar is a lightweight and agile motorcycle designed for carving up twisty roads.
The S2 Del Mar is powered by a 60 kW (80 hp) electric motor that produces 70 lb-ft of torque. The motor is paired with a 15.4 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 100 miles. Together the electric powertrain allows the bike to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 110 mph.
Built on a new platform called Arrow, the S2 Del Mar is designed to be lightweight and agile, but it is also modular so that it can be easily adapted to different motorcycle styles. The minimalist design uses a single-sided swingarm and a USD fork. The motorcycle is also equipped with Brembo brakes and Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tires.
Deliveries of the S2 Del Mar finally begin in July with pre-orders accepted now.
