Land Rover vehicles are built with go-anywhere capabilities. Although the brand isn’t known for tech, it’s all new Android-powered smartphone shares this philioshy.
Built in collaboration with Bullitt, a UK-based smartphone company known for making high-end rugged phones, the Land Rover Explore Outdoor Phone is tough and durable. It boasts a IP68 rating for splash, water, and dust resistance. It also has a 4000mAh battery and an add-on battery pack, meaning it won’t leave you stranded without juice.
Other features include a 16 MP rear and 8 MP front camera, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM, 5-inch FHD display, Android ‘Nougat’ (with ‘Oreo’ coming soon), and a deca-core 2.6GHz 64 bit MTK Helio x27 chipset for speedy processing.
For a phone that’s as tough as your Discovery or other outdoor gear, the Land Rover Explore Outdoor phone is expected to be priced around $800 when it arrives in April.
