Google is finally joining the foldable smartphone market with the Pixel Fold, formally announced at at Google I/O, the brand’s annual developer conference.
The Pixel Fold will offer a 7.6-inch foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will also have a 5.8-inch cover display on the outside. It’ will be powered by Google’s next-generation Tensor chip and will have 12GB of RAM. The device will also have 512GB of storage space.
For cameras, the Pixel Fold is expected to have a triple-lens rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. The device will also have an 8MP front-facing camera.
Running Android 13 out of the box, the Pixel Fold will features a number of exclusive features, such as a new foldable keyboard and a new multitasking mode.
Google’s priced the Pixel Fold at $1,799 and offers it in three colors: black, white, and coral.
