Ferrari’s embodied the thrill of driving in the Roma Spider, a new convertible model of their sleek grand tourer. The vehicle boasts a soft top that has been acoustically tuned to ensure the cabin remains as quiet as it would with a hard top. To achieve this, Ferrari has used a five-layer fabric that effectively reduces wind and road noise. Additionally, the soft top can be easily deployed and retracted in just 13.5 seconds while driving at speeds of up to 37 mph.
The Ferrari Roma Spider is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers an impressive 611 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque. This allows for lightning-fast acceleration, reaching 0-62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 198 mph. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is derived from the SF90 Stradale gearbox, ensuring seamless gear changes.
Other features include ergonomic seats, an 8.4″ central display, support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an optional neck warmer for driving with the top down on colder days, and even up to 255 liters of truck space with the roof down. No pricing for the Roma Spider has been announced, but expect it to be available by the end of the year starting from around $280,000.
