Ferrari has unveiled the brand’s first SUV, but the Italian automaker is preferring to call the new Purosangue a “four-door four-seater.”
Performance is impressive, thanks to a 6.5-liter V12 producing 715 hp and 528 lb-ft of torque. That helps the Purosangue sprint from zero to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 193 mph. That powerplant is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, plus an all-new suspension system, all-wheel drive, and it’s got rear-wheel steering for enhanced maneuverability.
The cabin’s high-tech and modern. Rear-hinged doors makes exit and entry easier for rear passengers. Once inside, there’s a digital gauge cluster for the driver and a large display for the passenger, plus niceties such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Burmester 3D Surround Sound System.
Whatever it’s referred to, the Ferrari Purosangue will certainly be one of the most practical vehicles to wear the prancing horse. It begins shipping at the end of 2023 and carries a price tag of around $400,000.
