Watch brand Farer hasn’t been around for very long, producing timepieces only since 2015. While the upstart watchmaker doesn’t have the history of some of the more established brands coming out of Switzerland, they’ve produced a nice selection of classic watches that won’t break the bank. It’s latest watches also fit that bill, including a series of quartz three-hand and GMT watches, and most recently a new automatic GMT.
The Lander is a colorful watch which will undoubtedly standout from more traditional, conservative options. It also offers a versatile size at 39.5mm. It has a bronze crown and a selection of retro dial designs that mimic the look and of mid-century tool watches.
Inside, movement is the reliable Swiss ETA 2893-2 automatic with Perle and Colimaçonne finishing. There’s a custom rotor that features the brand’s signature arrow design. It also features a power reserve of 42 hours.
Priced at $1,450, the Lander is one of the more reasonably priced Swiss-made mechanical GMTs. And with its retro style, it’s also one of the more distinctive options.
