Amazon’s latest Eero router is the first mesh system to support Wi-Fi 7, the next generation of Wi-Fi.
According to Amazon, the Eero Max 7 can download a 4K movie in 10 seconds or a 50GB video game in less than a minute. Of course, it’s important to note that your actual speeds will depend on your internet service provider (ISP) plan.
Beyond the promise of blazing fast Wi-Fi 7 speeds, Eero Max 7 can be setup in minutes with the guided installation within the Eero app and supports 200+ connected devices across up to 7,500 sq. ft. It’s also a smart hub, supporting Thread, Matter and Zigbee standards for smart home connectivity.
The Eero Max 7 will be available in one-, two-, and three-packs, starting at $599.99. This is a steep price, but it’s in line with other Wi-Fi 7 devices that early adopters may find. Eero does offer more affordable mesh Wi-Fi routers to choose from as well.
