Bowers & Wilkins has been killing the headphone game lately, and they just dropped the Px7 S3, which they’re calling their “most advanced wireless headphone yet.” This isn’t just a minor refresh; they’ve gone deep on the audio guts. This includes completely redesigned 40mm biocellulose drivers with a new chassis, voice coil, suspension, and magnet – only the cone material carried over from the previous S2e.
For the first time ever in a B&W headphone, these are also powered by a dedicated, discrete amplifier, promising a noticeably bigger and more energetic sound. Plus, they’re packing aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless for high-res playback, along with wired options. And get this: spatial audio is coming via a software update later this year. The noise-canceling has also been seriously beefed up with a new processor and an eight-mic setup, and they’ve tweaked the design for a comfier fit. Available here for $429 in three slick colors.
