BMW’s celebrating the anniversary of M performance with a radical new performance hybrid SUV, the XM.
Beneath the XM’s imposing hood is BMW’s first plug-in hybrid powertrain combining a new 483-horsepower TwinPower Turbo V8 and a 194-hp electric motor.
All that power is routed through an all-wheel-drive system that keeps the vehicle planted while it is able to sprint from zero to 62 mph in only 4.3 seconds.
Inside, the bold design continues with a BMW Curved Display, lounge-like rear seating, a sculptural headliner, and no less than 100 LEDs that illuminate the XM’s interior.
This sporty behemoth is slated to arrive in 2023 with prices starting at $159,995. BMW is accepting pre-orders now.
