The BMW X5 M and X6 M are already badass SUVs that perform more like sports cars than you’re average family haulers. Both feature the same twin-turbocharged V8 under the hood delivering an impressive 567 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. This powerplant also helps these deliver zero-to-60-mph times of 3.8 seconds (X5 M) and 3.7 seconds (X6 M).
As if their performance dramatic enough, BMW decided to release an entirely new Black Fire Edition package for these vehicles, giving them even more menacing presence. They’ll come standard with Sapphire Black Metallic paint, wear carbon-fiber side-mirror caps, blacked-out M-badged kidney grilles, ride on black 21-inch M-branded forged-alloy wheels, and feature other blacked-out trim pieces.
Inside you’ll find two-color black and Mugello Red leather with contrast stitching on the seats, door panels, the underside of the dashboard, and the center console. The only deviation from this color scheme are the light blue inserts on the steer wheel, characteristic of BMW’s motorsport heritage.
Both of these new models will arrive in October for an expected price well north of $100,000. If you’re interested in a BMW Black Fire Edition X5 M or X6 M, you’ll want to act fast. Only 200 of these special edition models will arrive in the United States.
