The days of Audi’s beloved V10 are numbered. But Audi’s saying goodbye in a bold way with the return of the R8 GT.
The R8 GT adds 40 horsepower over the rear-wheel-drive R8 for a total of 602 and 413 lb-ft of torque. Zero to 62 mph comes in 3.4 seconds and is capable of reaching a top speed of 199 MPH.
Other enhancements include a new dual-clutch seven-speed transmission that promises faster shifts, and a new Torque Rear Drive mode that lets drivers calibrate the slippage of the rear axle. The R8 GT also gets ceramic brakes, a retuned suspension, and exclusive 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires.
Only 333 units will be available worldwide.
