Apple has finally unveiled it’s redesigned MacBook Pro models, which now feature M1 Pro and the M1 Max chips. Powered with these advanced new processors, the new MacBook Pro offers 70% faster performance than the standard M1 via their 10-core, 5nm design with up to 16 GPU cores and support for up to 32GB of RAM. The M1 Max is more powerful with up to 32 GPU cores and has support for up to 64GB of RAM.
The new Apple MacBook Pro is can be had in 14- or 16-inch models. The brighter Mini-LED backed display has even thinner borders and extends up around the camera. It offers up a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and features an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. The MacBook Pro also gets a recycled aluminum enclosure, up to 21 hours of battery life, a 1080p FaceTime camera, studio-quality mics, and an upgraded six-speaker sound system with Dolby Atmos 3D audio. The previously generation’s Touch Bar has been replaced with physical keys, and they’ve even brought back MagSafe, along with support for a host of ports including HDMI, Thunderbolt 4, SD card slot, and high-fidelity headphone port.
The MacBook Pro is now available for pre-order and can be found in stores on October 26th.
