Apple’s unveiled the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which represented the company’s most advanced smartphones yet.
The new devices receive new brushed titanium enclosures that enable thinner bezels and makes them the lightest Pro iPhones yet. Inside, the A17 Pro chip is the industry’s first built using a 3-nanometer process, with a Pro-class 6-core GPU offering ray-tracing support.
One of the biggest upgrades is the new camera system. The iPhone 15 Pro has a new 48-megapixel main camera with the ability to switch between 24 mm, 28 mm, and 35 mm focal lengths, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera. The iPhone 15 Pro Max also has a new 5x, 120 mm tetraprism telephoto camera with a ƒ/2.8 aperture and 3D sensor‑shift optical image stabilization. Both phones will also be able to capture spatial video, using the main and ultrawide cameras to make 3D recordings.
Another notable change is the removal of the mute switch. It has been replaced by a customizable Action button that can open the camera, trigger Shortcuts, and more.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available in four colors: black, white, blue, and natural titanium. Apple’s most advanced smartphone lineup yet is available to order here.
