The Amazon Echo is an increasingly ubiquitous device that does many, many things — thanks in large part to the increasing number of third party integrations. One thing it hasn’t been able to do is show you anything, since the device up until now has been only available as a speaker.
Amazon’s new Echo Show changes that, as it’s an Alexa-powered hub complete with a 7-inch touchscreen. Other additions include eight microphones, a 5-megapixel video camera, and speakers tweaked by Dolby to deliver quality sound.
Thanks to compatibility with security cameras, smart home devices, streaming media services, and many others, the Echo Show can help you do new things like make video or regular phone calls.
The new Amazon Echo Show is available now for $230. You can find more details on Amazon.com.
