Toyota’s unveiled the 2024 Tacoma, a midsize pickup truck with more power, capability, and technology.
The fourth-generation Tacoma is available in both two- and four-wheel drive configurations, and it is powered by a new 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 278 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. There’s also a more powerful i-FORCE MAX hybrid option producing 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft that’s also paired with an eight-speed transmission.
There’s a number of off-road features available on the Tacoma, including a standard locking rear differential, a TRD Off-Road package, and a new TRD Pro model. The TRD Pro model gets a number of rugged upgrades, including Fox shocks, a wider track, and a more aggressive front bumper.
Inside, the Tacoma’s interior has modern design and includes a standard 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Available features include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a JBL audio system, and a panoramic sunroof.
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is scheduled to go on sale in the fall.
