As more electronic vehicle’s hit the road, the 2023 Polestar 2 is getting a significant upgrade to keep it an attractive option.
First, models with the dual-motor model are getting a boost in range, 11 more miles to be exact for an estimated total of 260 miles of EPA range. Dual-motor models with the Performance Pack will also get a new software upgrade adding 68 horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque. That bump could likely improve the current model’s observed 4.3-second 0-60 mph time by a few ticks.
There’s also a new heat pump aimed at helping to manage that range in all weather conditions. There will even be an over-the-air update for existing cars that have the heat pump equipped.
The Polestar 2’s exterior is also getting some upgrades, including a new Space black and gold-toned “Jupiter” color options and fresh 19″ and 20″ wheel designs. Insider there’s upgraded Bridge of Weir leather options, choice of Light Ash wood trim, and a removable mesh shade for models equipped with the panoramic glass roof. Plus Pack models also a more advanced air filter for keeping unwanted particles out of the cabin.
With more power, more range, more content, the all-electric hatch gets a bump in pricing too starting at $49,800 for the single-motor version. The dual-motor Polestar 2 is priced from $53,300 for the 2023 model.
