BMW’s flagship sedan is getting a major redesign for the 2023 — one that’s also turning the luxury cruiser in to a fully electric vehicle.
The top 7-Series trim is now the electrified i7 xDrive60 which gets over 300 miles of range. An impressive 536 horsepower and 549 lb-ft of torque is produced from its two electric motors that power all four wheels.
Inside the cabin is a slew of tech including a massive BMW Curved Display up front, front armrest mini-tablet controls, and an optional 31.3″ 8K rear touchscreen display with Amazon Fire TV entertainment built in. Beyond the screens, the 7-Series features a panoramic glass roof with an LED light show, a 36-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound system, Highway Assist hands-free driving at speeds up to 80 mph, and Swarovski crystal headlights
There will still be gas-powered variants of the 7-Series with either a 3.0L TwinPower Turbo inline-six or a 4.4L TwinPower Turbo V8 with xDrive all-wheel-drive.
The seventh-generation BMW 7-Series arrives later this year.
